Alan Partridge AKA Steve Coogan may point the finger of fun at my home town of Norwich but it is a beautiful and historic city with more medieval churches than any other city in Europe. On the other hand, he comes from Rochdale. Hmmm, I think that says it all . . .

Strangers Hall Norwich

Huguenots, foreign craftsmen and merchants met there. Norwich was very dilapidated in the it was a shambles. A major change came with the Huguenot silk weavers and the Dutch planned the drainage of the fens.
