House for one person that provides its resident with food, energy, heat and oxygen. In principle, one could live in Oogst 1 Solo without ever having to leave the house. ‘Oogst 1 Solo’, by Frank Tjepkema.

In 2011, Gardens by the Bay was opened in Singapore. The aim was to create  a city in a garden that would contribute to making the city more  comfortable to live in. During the design phase of Gardens by the Bay,  there was a lot of attention given to making the park eco-friendly. The  result is symbiosis that connects the different attractions of the park.

I thought that this was neat to show students about the natural resources available and how they are diminishing. I would want to use this as a way for the students to explore ways that we could preserve, maintain or use resources differently.
