We didn't use leaves for tail. The kids colored the squirrel and made the tail look bushy by painting w/ gray paint with a little spiky ball. Then they glued to larger paper and glued some fall leaves around it. I also cut off the huge acorn, and they used a real one from the yard. We used w/ the song, "Gray Squirrel, Swish your Bushy Tail."
