AS sketchbook: A grade AMANDA TREVIZO: It is always important to practice with different values of a color, especially with paints/watercolor. Students can use their sketchbook as a reference, I really enjoy the way this artist chose to box each color in.
Pages 5 and 6. By using a bruise makeup kit I have created bruises at different stages in different places of the body. I then went on explore showing colours of a bruise at different stages by using acrylic. When lifting up the tracing paper, the different stages of the bruise, ranging through pink and purple, to yellow and red at the end.
This sequence of work (primarily Kate's A Level Art sketchbook pages) shows experimentation with media and the exploration of compositional ideas. Artist influences are chosen cleverly: seamlessly integrating with her own aesthetic.
