Women had a great inpact during the Civil War. Women were writers, nurses, cooks, and laundresses. Here are nurses who helped wounded soldiers. They bandaged, wrapped, fed, and assigned the correct medicine to the soldier as needed. These are Red Guard Nurses in the time period of the Civil War, 1861 to 1865. If it weren't for nurses during the Civil War, many soldiers would have lost there lives and would have had to fight harder to stay alive.
