Put word stars on the ceiling and play "I Spy" with flashlights. Challenge the children to find the star that matches your clue. I think this would make a great idea for site words - have them find the site word that matches the one they draw out of a jar
Word Recognition: Try using this simple sight word coloring paper with your students who have difficulty focusing on sight words. Since your children get to color, they have to pay close attention to the sight words in order to choose the right colors
INSTRUCTION: "Drive-Thru Blending". Get students excited about phonics! Children say letter-sounds as they 'driving a car' through them and blend them. It's incredible to see how quickly this decoding game catches on!
