As well as passengers, we flew 5,000,000kg of freight in 2019. That is the same as around 50 Blue Whales! Cargo includes newly translated Bibles, materials for building projects, school resources and exam papers, coffee from farmers to be sold, emergency food and relief supplies and much much more! This video pays tribute to MAF’s Disaster Response team, who are ready to drop everything whenever disaster occurs. In 2019 alone, they’ve helped those affected by disasters such as the earthquake and tsunami in Sulawesi; the outbreak of Ebola in the DRC; flooding in Sentani, Papua; the devastation wrought by cyclones Ida and Kenneth in Mozambique; the damage caused by earthquakes in Papua New Guinea and the destruction resulting from Hurricane Dorian, which recently struck the Bahamas.
Our vision is to see 'isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ's name.' We target the physical and spiritual needs of men, women and children around the world – serving individuals and communities regardless of culture and religion.
