Molly May is 20” tall and has a human hair wig, which is pinned on, She's quite a heavy doll as she is filled with a combination of plastic pellets and polyester stuffing, as per Janet’s instructions. This is a doll from "Russia" by P. J. Jackson part of Children of the world collection Each doll is unique and one-of-a-kind. The doll's head is hand-sculpted, hand-casted in reinforced gypsum, hand-painted and lacquered. The body of the doll is made from fabric and filled with natural fibres. A handcrafted shoulder socket holds the head in place and allows it to turn, the arms and legs are articulated. Meet Gertie - a Sasha Morgenthaler a B11 studio doll, dating from the late 40’s- early 50’s. Standing at approximately 20 inches, she has a tricot ( soft, twill type ) body which rotates at the neck , arms and legs - all in great condition and a gypsum head. Gertie has fair, wavy hair and dark, artist painted eyes. With pretty painted lips, brows and nostrils, and still a little blush remaining, is a fabulous example of an early Studio doll.

Gertie has fair, wavy hair and dark, artist painted eyes. With pretty painted lips, brows and nostrils, and still a little blush remaining, is a fabulous example of an early Studio doll.
