MAWD | Knightsbridge Gate
For APML Estate's redevelopment of prestigious Knightsbridge Gate, MAWD were appointed to design two model residences and style the two entrance receptions and residential common areas. Applying our research-based experience-centric design process (EXCD), MAWD delivered an intuitive transformation of the show apartments with two contemporary interior schemes appealing to key demographics.

The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly Studio
Working within a tall tower with a slender footprint, MAWD created a highly programmed and space driven interior with three different design palettes that respond to the key vistas experienced as one ascends the building (Terra, Aqua, Strata) together with three signature furniture packages. In addition to being inspired by the neighborhood, the interiors had to echo the architecture of a master. Rafael Viñoly Architects are responsible for some of the most beloved civic and cultural buildings around the world, including award-winning museums, performing arts centers, convention centers, arenas, hotels and residential complexes as well as large urban commercial and institutional master plans.

Coterie Cathedral Hill
When Related Companies and Atria Senior Living approached MAWD regarding the design of Coterie, a visionary collaboration aimed at offering an unrivaled retirement lifestyle in prime locations, the assignment was to create interiors featuring luxury amenities, elevated culinary experiences, concierge services, and forward-thinking programs that would offer engaging environments for people who expect to get more out of each day. MAWD welcomed the challenge, taking the time to research and truly understand Coterie residents — who they are and what they are passionate about.
A prime waterfront residence, 450 Washington stands out for its rich and layered furnishings, immersive amenities, and gallery driven collection of artwork. Supporting work, play, and rest — each amenity space has been thoughtfully designed to make the most of each resident's day.

MAWD approached the project through extensive persona driven research to determine which amenities would make the largest impact for residents. The result, a thoughtfully designed golf-simulator, communal dining room (with a hidden industrial kitchen), extensive co-working and flex spaces (including a library and multiple conference and Zoom rooms), in addition to an expansive rooftop deck with 360 degree views of the Hudson River and downtown Manhattan.
