London, West: Tyburn Convent and the Shrine of the Martyrs, 8-9 Hyde Park St, W2. Visited here many years ago with my class - I vividly recall the tour of the creepy crypt where the fingernails, bone fragments, hair and skin of the 150 martyrs are preserved and on display. Chilling but utterly fascinating.
