Lisbon-born sculptor David Oliveira creates delicate figurative sculptures using wire that’s formed to look like manically drawn ink sketches. Some pieces are hung by invisible filament creating the illusion of hovering in place.
FABRICS/MATERIALS: Weave artist Marianne Kemp, incorporates many untraditional fibres to create her textile artworks e.g mohair & waxed cotton. Kemp's unique art of weaving pushes the boundaries of traditional techniques to create interesting interior pieces rather than the conventional fashion garments. It's innovative, unique and is a prime example of how woven textiles has evolved, becoming more practical & only encouraging further developments.
