San Benedetto del Tronto, province of Ascoli Piceno is one of the main seaside resorts of the southern Marche, situated between the Tronto and Tesino rivers.  It is a fairly large town, and boasts a long, sandy beach with over seven thousand palm trees lining the wide promenade, which is recognised as one of the most enchanting in Italy. San Benedetto del Tronto is one of the most important fishing ports on Italy's Adriatic coast, and there is a wonderful fish market.
Torre di Palme:  This little town is a very popular tourist destination because of the beautiful location and fascinating architecture, representing many periods of history right back to the medieval.It lies only 4 kilometres from the Adriatic and 17.8 km, a 24 minute drive from Montefiore dell'Aso.     It lies only 4 kilometres from the Adriatic, and is mentioned by Pliny the Elder as having been  a strategic lookout post for the Roman city of Palma, from which it gets its name.

Cardinale Gentile Partino da Montefiore is depicted kneeling in his Franciscan habit in front of San Martino (St. Martin of Tours) . This fresco is situated in the entrance wall of the Cappella di San Martino, the lower Basilica of S. Francis, Assisi, 1313 - 1318 (painted by  Simone Martini). In March 1312  Gentile Partino paid 600 golden florins for the construction and  fresco decoration of this Chapel . Gentile Partino was berried in the chapel of San Ludovico next to the San Martino Chapel .
An impressive, medieval carved stone funerary monument to the parents of Cardinal Gentile Partino (1310). The monument is one of the earliest and most important commissions of Gentile Partino, made of Istrian stone and located in the Church of San Franceso of Montefiore dell'Aso . Carnevale Montefiorano. The carnival in Montefiore dell'Aso has been a tradition since 1981. From that year (the only "stop in 1990") in the two days (Sunday and Shrove Tuesday) the old town grew up thanks to a cheerful and crazy parade of allegorical wagons and masked groups from all the regions in the area. This carnival is organized by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the Municipal Administration.

Sala De carolis situated in the historic centre of Montefiore dell'Aso. The collection consists of about 500 works of art  including drawings, sketches and woodblock prints. De Carolis drew these sketches to assist him in creating the mural paintings of the "Sala Quattromila"in the Palace of the Podesta' in Bologna. The gallery is used for concerts and conferences throughout the year.
