The famed Buddhist monastery of Farfa Kanout, high in the remote recesses of the Nepalese Himalayas. The long, winding walkway leads from the Chief Lama's residence to the shrine of Rama where within are the sacred Bronze Bells of Bhutan, which personify and serve as avatars of the chief mountain spirits, Ting and Tang. The bells are rung but once each year, during the holy ceremony of Ting Tang Rama Lama Dingdong.
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." ~ Melody Beattie Buddhist Temple, Lhasa, Tibet
