Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.

According to a myth, the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of those that are destined to meet each other in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. Often, in Japanese culture, it is thought to be tied around the little finger. The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.

The red thread of fate is an East Asian belief .The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.

Remnants by Greg Sand is a series that i find quite creepy but at the same time moving. He weaves together 3 images of a person from different points in there life to create a portrait of a person who has passed on. When you look at the images you can see flashes of youth in parts of the portrait but in others u see a tired frail person. I think this idea is extremely strange but i do like it.

Mona is part of the Remnants series by Greg Sand. He works with digital photography to produce his work. 'Mona' is composed of three photos cut into strips and woven together.
