BR red liveried Stanier LMS "Princess Coronation" class 8P 4-6-2 46245 "City of London" in temporary storage at Willesden (1A) MPD and pictured alongside class 24 Bo-Bo electric D5144 (later TOPS numbered 24144) - 05/10/1963. 46245 was constructed at Crewe during WW2 and entered service June 1943. It had recently been transferred from Camden (1B) for storage, but saw further work during the summer of 1964. It was withdrawn from Crewe North (5A) shed in September…
