Paint-Bleeding Portraits - Street Artist Dain Fuses Mixed Media, Wheatpasting and Collage (GALLERY)

Paint-Bleeding Portraits

Created by DAIN, Brooklyn This piece has a wide range of media used to created the collage. For example, paints, newspaper prints and spray paint. The use of these medium recreates the face and adds depth and definition to certain areas.

I like different medias used this piece because the varsity of colours make it look very attractive. I want to used fragments of mixed media like this in my project.

So this is my main idea for the Fragments question on the GCSE Art exam

I like this collage because it is colourful and the shapes are carefully cut

Carboard relief portrait by Giles Oldershaw l #layeredportraits #OldHollywoodCelebrities

Instead of just throwing cardboard boxes away, English artist Giles Oldershaw uses them to create a specific type of layered portraits of well-known characters

These illustrations by Australian portrait artist Joshua Miels feature complex and colorful compositions that are created from layer upon layer of a variety of media. Not limiting himself to one form of artistic creation, Miels prefers to combine classic painting styles, felt tip pen line illustrations, and modern digital technology to form these fantastic pieces bursting with energy.
