Clermont Ferrand Viaduct. Technically, this bridge is a concrete box girder with inclined piers. Completed in 1992, it carries the modern motorway over the Truyére River near St. Flour in the south of France. It shares that spectacular site with Gustave Eiffel’s nearby Garabit Viaduct. This photo appears in "Bridging the World" by Robert Cortright.
