david hockney; thought: portrait of a person spread over more than one canvas. Multiple shoots, poses, etc. Not even a portrait of a person - could be any photo. How different can the images be and still hold together in the viewer's mind?
David Hockney, Sun I enjoy his more sketchy marks in this piece, and how he conveyed the light coming through the window. The shadows and the slats in the shutter/door behind the table and plant are nice, and the marks used to achieve this is effective.
