Here's a great outdoor activity for the kids - a NUMBER HUNT! Stick foam numbers (or simply write) onto plastic garden label sticks. Hide the sticks in the garden and then send the kids outdoors to find them. Once found, ask them to line up the sticks in the correct order.

Sand Mousse - sand, water and a generous amount of bubble bath - great for pre-writing skills large circles, patterns, etc using fingers and hands, with pattern making tools or small world - don't remix it with everyday sand - it goes a bit smelly! We transferred ours out to our 'Mud Kitchen'

would be a great way to incorporate math and measurement outdoors by adding measuring cups to use to dump the water or sand through these tubes

The Sky IS the limit for where this handmade congratulations card can take you!  The kite is the focal point, with interesting sky and cloud background.  I like the stripe of sky paper that shows on the inside of the card.
