There’s a good chance you haven’t been to Madison bar. Not because you know where it is but stay in Wetherspoon’s, but because it doesn’t want you to find it. When you do though, you’ll discover a super-buzzing rooftop bar, serving cold beers, tapas and cocktails to London’s city folk. Oh, and the views aren’t too bad either. Quite romantic.

Women, hard liquor, happy hour. It’s a deadly cocktail. Combine that with leather armchairs by a raging fire on a Saturday afternoon, and you’ve got a totally tipsy partner. All for a fiver. At least, that’s how things go down Saturday afternoon at Southsider Cocktail Bar in Clapham. Their happy hour cocktails are strong enough to flatten Jedward’s hair – both of them. But they’re damn good. The cocktails, not Jedward.
Regent’s Park is Like a Beer at the Back of the Fridge It’s a nice surprise. Naively, we’d ruled out Regent’s Park as an extended entrance to London Zoo. And like baboons escaping their cage, we had no intention of going back. That is until we decided to visit Primrose Hill, and thought we’d pass through Regent’s Park to get there. We never made it to Primrose Hill. But we did discover there’s more to Regent’s Park than pretty rose bushes and grass.
