White corns have numbers, yellow corns have symbols/operations... students have a time limit to do as many as possible. This can be as simple or as complicated as you make it! Good touch with the popcorn boxes too.

"On the white paper (plain popcorn) I wrote numbers, on the yellow (buttered popcorn) I wrote math symbols (+ – x ). Students can then choose 2 pieces of white popcorn and 1 piece of yellow. They write the equation and answer in their books.

Really good Early Years Number activity which even the boys love.

Match sets by matching the numbered key to the lock with the correct number of dots on it. GREAT for fine motor skills and very motivational! Or by padlock in the numicon tile.
