Buttercups and daisies
We all know buttercups and daisies from our childhood but both these families of flowers are far more varied than we may sometimes think. The 'buttercups' belong to the rannunculus family and are open, five petalled flowers, whereas 'daisies' belong to the composite family along with dandelions and thistles and they have very much more complex flowers.
