Nuthall Temple. The house was completed in 1757 and is said to have been inspired by Palladio's Villa Capra in Vicenza. In 1926, due to falling agricultural rents and outstanding estate duties owed to the state, the owner was forced to consider selling the property. The house was eventually demolished in 1929 and in 1966 the site was buried under one of the slip roads at Junction 26 of the M1 motorway.
