Objectives Board This is the first year I have used an daily agenda. I stole the circular pattern from my teaching teammate... She's awesome!. I combined it with the learning objectives... so its an objective agenda board! Thats a mouthful! I write the objectives in "kid friendly language" and box or underline important concepts and words. It's clear and easy and everyone knows what we are doing! ...So simple... Its a keeper!

OBJECTIVES BOARD/Learning goals: write the objectives in kid friendly language, draw a simple, circular web on the board and box or underline important concepts and words.

Name Chart - This is probably one of the most frequently used items in my classroom. I make it using the Lakeshore Photo Nameplates. I cut off the lines on the bottom. I mount the photos on large tagboard. I laminate the board and the names. The names on the lines are then attached with velcro dots. The kids use it all of the time when they want to write their friend.

If you have never read Too Many Pumpkins, it's a must read. So cute! One of my favorites. It's great to teach making predictions because most of the pages end with "until...". We filled in our story map after reading the story.

Lee's Kindergarten: Pumpkins - Good example of Story Map outline: Have up all year and have students help fill in for different read alouds
