M/S Boissevain  the KPM commissioned 3 ships on the lines between Asia, Java and Africa The ships were named after Jan Boissevain, Willem Ruys and Petrus Emilius Tegelberg, the three men who decided in 1888 to found the KPM and made a contract with the Dutch government to provide ship connections in the Dutch East Indies.
