There is no better maths than hands on maths.    Instead of just memorising how many sides and corners each polygon has, build it with your child. I used play-dough and cut up straws, but spaghetti and salt dough will also be fine.   Let your child to experiment. Call dough balls vertices and straws/spaghetti sides.
