Patterned Paper Wreath - Remix!
Did you know that the first post Sharon and I ever worked on together was her Patterned Paper Wreath? It was several months ago, before Two Girls Being Crafty was even a thought, and I was blogging elsewhere. Sharon told me about a craft she was making and I asked for pictures so I could share it with my readers, and a very popular wreath was born. Here's Sharon's awesome original wreath: So, now I have made Sharon's Patterned Paper Wreath like three or four times... Each time using the same…

How to Make Slipcovers - Nesting Place
hate me, why didn’t I straighten out the slipcover first? I made this beautiful white slipcover last weekend. And by “I” I mean, my friend in real life, Kristi, the slipcover whisperer from Pink and Polka Dot. She is a self taught slip cover queen. And also, the title of this post is a lie. […]
Twins Neutral Elegance Nursery - Project Nursery

Quilted Throw Pillows
Kind of like a good hair cut, throw pillows can really transform a look. They add a unique and fresh something-new without a lot of fuss. Personally, I’ve had the same tired pillows on my bed for at least four years, and I was ready for a change! These Quilted Throw Pillows, with their crisp, graphic simplicity, are really giving my bedroom the new life it needed. Normally I don’t much like machine quilting, but for this project I decided to explore the more creative side to this usually…
Basket Liners [Tutorial]
I wasn’t planning on making a tutorial for these basket liners. I’m tired, they aren’t particularly fancy or interesting, and I am distracted by baby-ness. BUT….My little si…

Vintage Tea Towels
A few years ago Page made a beautiful set of Soft Cotton Knit Dishtowels inspired by the subtle nuance of color in her collection of vintage kitchen textiles. Just like her, I am taken with the simple, utilitarian beauty of these classic fabrics; but where Page was inspired by their variety of hues, I am fascinated by their seemingly endless variety of patterns, most of which are created with the humble stripe. With these timeless beauties in mind, I made these Vintage Tea Towels, each…
