This view shows the Old Ship Inn, Frankwell. Not to be confused with the New Ship Inn off Hill's Lane. It was delicensed in the 1920s and the building, along with much of the rest of the area, was demolished for street widening and "slum" clearance in the 1930s. Shrewsbury, Shropshire
The Flax Mill/Maltings is of great historical importance as it was the worlds first cast iron framed building and is the Grandfather of all skyscrapers. It is mentioned in a plaque on the top of the Empire State Building in New York. Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
