The relationship between the crafts and design has progressed from one based largely on fading tradition to one that is highly experimental and innovative. The range of creative practices includes jewellery making, glassblowing, silver-smithing and textile design, and the taught programmes encompass a wealth of disciplines, materials and approaches.
