Invention Idea Box (Love this idea!)...great for critical thinking! I had a "Building Box" in my room last year where I added items I thought kids could use to build things. (It was usually things I would otherwise throw away or recycle.) The kids loved it!

Floating and sinking is a fun science concept for children to explore. Setting up a Floating and Sinking Learning Tray will invite them to play, experiment and explore how and why different objects float and sink when placed into water.

Vegetable investigation. A mix of vegetables, including lots of unfamiliar ones for the children to explore, encouraging them to use all their senses, and lots of language skills. Relevant books are available encouraging them to enjoy an increasing range of books and know that they carry information as well as stories.
