Case Study - LAPD Glass Staircase
Featured in a spectacular home, this superb oak open-riser staircase with glass and steel combination includes 40mm thick strings 44mm thick treads. A stainless steel tubular riser is used to give this simple but effective design a stunning finish. Case Study - Hill Square staircase
We supplied two flights of double winder stairs running from the ground to second floor, manufactured from softwood. The client chose 35mm square redwood spindles and newels with pyramid caps, together with whitewood treads, MDF winder treads and ply risers. All visible parts were painted white, with an oak handrail providing an attractive contrast.
Case Study - High Green staircase
All the visible parts of this sturdy single winder flight of stairs with return landing balustrade are made from American white oak. As the staircase was to be carpeted, we manufactured all the non-visible parts in softwood to keep costs down. Stop-chamfered 41mm spindles and newels with flat caps combine to produce a streamlined effect, providing a perfect backdrop to the customer’s trusty stair lift
Case Study - Compton Curved Staircase
A beautiful splayed American white oak staircase like this is just what this huge entrance hall needs. Our chief designer, Andy Hughes, worked closely with the customer to achieve an outstanding end result. The staircase is cut-string both sides and is the main feature of this home. The client chose Oxford fluted newel posts and spindles to complement the continuous handrail. Two wreathed volutes enhance the entrance of the staircase.
Case Study - Aubrey House Cut String Staircase
We supplied this exquisite, cut-string staircase comprising two flights - lower ground to ground floor and ground floor to first floor. Strings and risers are primed whitewood, with redwood stop-chamfered newels and spindles which were again white-primed. Black walnut 32mm thick treads complemented by a traditional handrail add a touch of class to this elegant staircase.
