tap dancing - If youre a Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers lover like I am, and IF youve ever tried to tap dance.its NOT easy! Tap dancing is a FABULOUS way to tone the body, especially legs. It gives you an unbelievable cardio workout, and is LOTS of FUN!

In the eighties, Gregory Hines produced new ideas in tap dancing “jerked tap out of a pre-1950s aesthetic and pushed it into the 1990s and beyond by roughing it up and giving it emotional weight” (Valis-Hill 277). Hines was the first to fused tap with funk and rock music and used innovating, bold rhythmic patterns. The contributions Hines gave to tap dance helped tap dancers to begin being viewed as dance artists as opposed to entertainers
