Basil Walnut Pesto: 4 packed cups fresh basil leaves cup extra-virgin olive oil cup fresh parmesan, grated cup chopped walnuts 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped Sea or Kosher salt I used less oil and added lemon juice
It made a lot so I would half the recipe and add about teaspoon salt. Basil-Walnut Pesto comes together in about 15 minutes and makes a delicious topping for pasta, a tasty spread on sandwiches, or a unique garnish for soups.
Top a lovely grilled or baked chicken breast w/ this pesto and prepare to swoon! I doubled recipe. I slightly toasted walnuts. Great recipe for Pesto. Freeze in ice cube trays or make into a roll and freeze and then slice as needed.
