Keep your eyes wide open when you walk around Florence! The city has more layers than an onion. Here's a column that was part of a church that stood where Via della Ninna runs alongside Palazzo Vecchio. When Cosimo I decided to build his offices (Uffizi) the church was demolished... but parts of it can still be seen in and around the museum.
