Not as excited to read this, but really should

One of my top 3 favorite books

Baldacci not only writes intrigue and mystery novels, but romance, too!

One Summer, by David Baldacci: Jack, terminally ill and preparing to say goodbye to his family, has a miraculous recovery after his wife is killed in a car accident and st.

The End of the World as We Know It: Scenes from a Life~Just finished reading this. Not bad but I have to say I have read better memoirs. Maybe I just wasn't the right "audience" for it.

Very good book - very sad. The story comes to you slowly and you don't expect what unfolds.

Read the book, skip the movie! The book catches the true soul of the connection between the horse and the people.

The Horse Whisperer, Nicholas Evans def one of my faves! book one hundred times better than the movie. No offense Robert Redford.

Abdullah and his sister Pari live with their father and stepmother in the village of Shadbagh in Afghanistan. More like a parent than a brother, Abdullah will do anything for his sister. One day the siblings journey with their father to Kabul. The siblings have no sense of the fate that awaits them, as events unfold which tear their lives apart. See if it is available:

Wow, this is a wonderful book. Really recommend reading it. Stories of love and what love means in different contexts. And it's just won Goodreads Choice of the Year: Best Fiction 2013 award!

The Divide

Listening to on CD in car now - loved Horse Whisperer - haven't read anything else by him

Slightly bizarre, but I loved it

The Kitchen House. JDR Note: OMG, I loved this book so much! A white indentured servant girl goes to live and work with the slaves on a Virginia plantation. The book follows the events of the next 19 years. It is tragic and parts of it will turn your stomach but there are equally uplifting doses of dignity, loyalty, and the resilience of the human spirit.

The Kitchen House- Kathleen Grissom This stunning debut novel set in the antebellum South, is a tragic story of page-turning suspense, exploring the meaning of family, where love and loyalty prevail.
