Karen Bit Vejle is a psaligraphist based out of Norway. She begins with one large continuous sheet of paper and using only a small pair of embroidery scissors, creates vast, elaborate scenes that twist and twine into the fantastical. The complex process is so demanding that a single slip would ruin the whole, and so takes her work into the savor of “slow” art – an exquisite painting by her silver-tongued scissors.
