A Mom's Balancing Act: Delicious & Easy Pot Roast ~ Crock Pot Recipe ::: This roast recipe was OK, I probably won't use it again. When it was first cooking, it had a strong Dr. Pepper scent, leaving me to think it would taste sweet. The final taste was simply a roast with an onion-y flavor. Not bad, just not a recipe that will be added to the rotation.
JO: this was the best roast I've ever made. We are barely going to have enough left for leftovers. I added potatoes, onions and baby carrots on top of everything. I can't remember if her recipe said x the powders in the water or not, but I was told by someone else who's made it before to rub the dry mix onto all sides of the roast, then pour the water around the roast. Will definitely make again!
