Kids love to play fishing games. Here's a twist that combines the fine motor practice inherent in fishing with letter recognition. This game recycles bottles caps and uses an improvised fishing pole. So simple and fun!

letter recognition. I like this idea because it is something you can easily do at home with your kids, and a quick way to encourage those letter recognition concepts we work so hard at in kindergarten and first grade.

Children choose a letter out of a bucket and dab it with a bingo marker. (Different colour for each letter.) Good for letter recognition. Do something similar with numbers 1 through 10 or Can add pictures for sound recognition also

Instead of numbers write the color word on the bottles. Sort pom-poms by color. Empty each bottle and count the pom-poms. Then record how many pom-poms were in each bottle. Add the two colors together for addition practice.

Put numbers one one die...dots that match your bingo dotters on the other die.  Roll them both and make the number of dots in the color shown :)

What a fun game! Make two dice: one with numbers, and one with colors. Roll the dice, then use dot stamps to make that number of dots in that color on your paper. My adaption would be to have the dice be a doubles dice to practice double math facts
