Fred Guentert, 89, stands next to his Egyptian coffin outside his workshop in Orlando, Florida. Building your own coffin in your retirement is one way to pass your time, another is to spend 25 years fashioning your very own Egyptian sarcophagus. That is what 89-year old Fred Guentert has done, painstakingly creating his very own mummification casket out of cedar wood. Fred plans to be fully mummified when he finally dies and placed inside his macabre labour of love.
