Slime Mold Slime Mold is a fungus that appears as spots in your lawn, look for areas that stay wet or are located in shady areas. Slime mold can affect all warm season grasses and usually occurs with cooler night temperatures and humidity. It can also appear during or after periods of warm wet weather. The fungus usually disappears during warm dry weather conditions.
