This is the deformed foot of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.  Her feet  were deformed because she didn't want anyone to get stuck with the worst pair of shoes, so she would dig through the pile and would keep the ill fitting pair for herself. Years of wearing bad shoes deformed her feet.

What caused her feet to become so deformed? She would wait until everyone else had selected the donated shoes giving them the best selection and leaving herself with ill fitting ones.

Haar dood kwam gelijk met die van Lady Diana die alle aandacht kreeg terwijl moeder Theresa, in mijn ogen een echte heldin, in de schaduw bleef staan, zelfs op het moment dat ze veel aandacht had moeten krijgen.
