The Sterling Water Pitcher ($39,000) was made in response to my desire to create a vessel where the very shape of the piece serves as its handle. The only way I could imagine achieving such a complex form was to build it. This I did using 241 strands of round wire shaped and soldered side by side. The resulting surface texture pleases me very much. It looks both classic like a Greek column and organic like blades of grass side by side. My website includes a process series of this piece.
