Rommel's simple grave in Herrlingen, Blaustein, Baden Wuerttemberg, Germany. The Desert Fox would end his life with cyanide in 1944 because of his plotting against Hitler. A 'choice' given him because the Nazis branding him a traitor would have severely damaged morale in Germany. The death was reported as either a heart attack or from succumbing to injuries from a strafing of his car near St. Foy de Montgommery in France in July of '44. He was buried with full military honors.
