2/20/40 - 2/7/18 Charlie Davis, exercise rider for the great Secretariat. Mr. Davis was a personable, cantankerous fellow in his later years. I met him while working as a liaison for the Secretariat Festival; we hit it off and became friends. He had infinite stories to tell about his lifetime with horses and each one was relayed with humor and sass. RIP to one of the good ones.
