This is real comfort food - a tasty chicken pie in a delicious white sauce, topped with cheesy mashed potatoes. It is a great dish to store in the freezer for days when you don't want to cook. I will use citric acid instead of lemon juice.
This pie would make a wonderful centrepiece for a family meal. My granddaughters Abby and Grace helped me to make it for the TV programme. For this recipe you will need a pint shallow, wide-based ovenproof dish, about in diameter.
