How to make Maznik (mahz-neek). This is a traditional Macedonian handmade pastry filled with crumbled white cheese, similar to feta. Before baking, we place a coin underneath the Maznik and when done, each family member is cut a slice. Before removing the slices, the tray with the Maznik is spun three times and the person that gets the slice with the coin underneath it, has a year of Good Luck!
