You know what makes me really sad tonight? I have talked to 12-year-olds through 80-year-olds and nobody seems to care about God or country anymore... I love this board but I fear we are completely outnumbered by the selfish and complacent. I am so discouraged. My beloved America is going to hell in a handbasket and everyone is so brainwashed they don't give a damn!

Nathan Hale is known as the spy whose one regret was having just one life to lose for his country. He's also a bit of a myth. The real Hale was courageous, but  nonetheless got caught because he couldn't tell a lie to save his life. Literally. Not the best spy material.

The Sugar Act - 1764 The Sugar Act, passed by Parliament to raise money to pay off debt from the French and Indian War, forced everyone in the colonies to pay taxes on sugar as well as coffee, indigo, and wine.The colonists felt as if they were being taken advantage of; however, the British felt they were being generous to the colonists.
