Hickman Died January 7, 2010 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom 35, of Kingsport, Tenn.; assigned to the Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska; died Jan. 7 at Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered earlier that day at Combat Outpost Bowri Tana, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire.
Army MAJ Robert J. Marchanti II, 48, of Baltimore, Maryland. Died February 25, 2012, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Division Security Partnering Team, Maryland Army National Guard, Baltimore, Maryland. Died of wounds sustained when hit by enemy small-arms fire during an attack at the Interior Ministry in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Army SGT Terrell W. Gilmore, 38, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Died March 30, 2008, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 769th Engineer Battalion, Louisiana Army National Guard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations in Baghdad, Iraq.
Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Jeffrey L. Chaney Died July 17, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 35, of Omaha, Neb.; assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 11, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash.; died July 17 as a result of enemy action while conducting combat operations in Samarra, Iraq.
