Blue duck/whio family at Tongariro, NZ. They are one of New Zealand's most endangered species. It has no close relative. It has a soft membrane on the tip of its beak to stop it wearing away when gathering its food from the gravel of rivers.
They don't fly in the air but they certainly fly underwater . An endangered yellow-eyed penguin, which is the most rare penguin species in the world (only about left on earth). This penguin was spotted at the Otago Peninsula in New Zealand.
