highway seattle to banff. I love this setting! I love the old fashioned house with the chimney and the lake and the Washington trees rising behind it in majestic Washington fashion. I have been on highway 1 many times and have been to Banff. It's heaven!
Jeff Shelden, an architect and son of a forest ranger, modeled the design of his Montana cabin after a forest service lookout tower. To build the cabin he used wood from an old train trestle, local stone, and reclaimed steel from a nearby farm.
